A popular nurse from Helston Community Hospital is retiring at the end of the month after more than 40 years' work for the National Health Service (NHS). Liz Pickard, whose 43 years in healthcare included 17 years at Helston, will receive a big farewell as she retires at the end of September."I've thoroughly enjoyed working at Helston Community Hospital where I've witnessed so many changes over the years," she said."I intend to spend more time taking part in my favourite pastimes....
