A 70-year-old man has died after falling from the Tamar Bridge.
Police were called to the bridge at about 4.40pm yesterday, after reports a man was on the wrong side of the railings.
Both the pedestrian walkway and Old Ferry road beneath were closed as officers and specialist negotiators talked to the man.
There was support from the fire service rope team and paramedics were also at the scene.
