Coastguards have praised a fisherman who had to be rescued this afternoon after his boat caught fire off Bude.The man was wearing a lifejacket when he had to leave his 20-ft boat, about a mile offshore.Summerleaze RNLI lifeguards used jet skis to pick up him up. He was transferred to a nearby fishing vessel and is now being brought to shore where he will be met by the Bude Coastguard Rescue Team. Cornwall Fire Service are also on scene.
