Thousands of people lined the banks of the River Camel at Wadebridge yesterday afternoon for the annual raft race.Teams in fancy dress took to the water for the traditional "paddle" between the old bridge and the "Anneka's Bridge" footbridge at Egloshayle - and then back again. First to cross the finish line was Wadebridge fire service. The crowds cheered and applauded throughout and the event, organised by the local Chamber of Commerce, was a great success.
