The St Ives lifeboat crew and lifeguards sprang into action this afternoon after an 18-year-old woman fell 15ft.The volunteer lifeboat crew was returning from an exercise when the alarm was sounded that a woman had fallen off Smeaton's pier onto the sand.Assisted by two lifeguards from Porthmeor, the lifeboat crew responded immediately to help the woman who had suffered a suspected spinal injury.They worked together to transfer the teenager onto a spinal board and a D class lifeboat was used to...
