Lifeguards rescued dozens of people over the half term as one of the busiest and sunniest May holidays on record drew thousands to the beach in Cornwall.
People getting into difficulty on kayaks, a man who fell from a cliff, people cut off from the tide and several adults and children caught in rip tides were among those plucked from the water.
A total of 46 beaches across Cornwall were manned by the RNLI lifeguards through the week.
