He's played a Batman baddie, an evil fur trapper, and both Kray twins - now Hollywood heart-throb Tom Hardy's in Charlestown filming a new TV drama.
The London-born actor is starring in Taboo, in which his character, tattooed adventurer James Delaney, returns to England from Africa to avenge the death of his father.
It's going to be shown on BBC1 next year.
