A JURY has found Connor Hammond guilty of murdering Illogan soldier Dave Curnow. The jury returned the verdict at Truro Crown Court shortly after 2pm this afternoon. Connor Hammond, 21, of Redruth, had denied murdering Mr Curnow in the early hours of September 20 last year. Liam Laing, of Chacewater, had previously pleaded guilty to murder. Both men received life sentences. Hammond was told he will serve a minimum of 16 years. Laing will serve a minimum of 13 and a half years.
